The De Cheveigne paper below does an interesting overview of existing systems: de Cheveigné, A. (2006). Multiple F0 estimation. In Wang, D.L, Brown, G.J. (Eds) Computational Auditory Scene Analysis, Algorithms and Applications. (pp. 45-79). IEEE Press/Wiley. You should also check systems presented in the last MIREX evaluation on multiple-f0 estimation: http://www.music-ir.org/mirex/wiki/2010:Multiple_Fundamental_Frequency_Estimation_%26_Tracking_Results and naturally systems with highest precision including that of C. Yeh described here: C. Yeh, A. Roebel, X.
