Associate/Assistant professor in Physiological Acoustics and Audiology Department of Electrical Engineering, Technical University of Denmark Deadline for application: 15 March 2011. Research and education of the position are integrated in the activities of the internationally recognized Centre for Applied Hearing Research, CAHR, http://www.dtu.dk/centre/cahr/English.aspx The vacant position is to be filled as soon as possible. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a solid scientific knowledge and research experience in at least one, and some experience in another of the following areas: * Objective measures of auditory function (e.g., otoacoustic emissions, auditory evoked potentials, functional imaging) * Development of computational/analytical models of human auditory signal processing * Neural bases of cognition and auditory perception in humans * Advanced analysis techniques and digital signal processing for biological systems * Novel concepts of hearing evaluation, audiological diagnostics and hearing-instrument compensation strategies We expect you to participate in both fundamental and advanced-level education of students in cooperation with the other scientific staff, and you must contribute actively to the theoretical and experimental research within the Department. Candidates for an Assistant Professorship must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent) Candidates for an Associate Professorship must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent) as well as academic qualifications equivalent to those obtained by holding an Assistant Professorship and should document didactic/pedagogic training.
