Attendants can register at: http://www.phon.ucl.ac.uk/events/Quality2011.html The registration fee is GBP 36.- The workshop on Speech in Noise: Intelligibility and Quality proved success= ful for two years in a row now. Each previous workshop attracted more than seventy-five people with backgro= unds in engineering=2C telecommunication=2C neuroscience=2C psychoacoustics=2C psychology and audi= ology. The workshops' highly informal atmosphere successfully contributed to a fertile exchange of ideas= between industry and academia. After London in 2009 and Amsterdam in 2010=2C the workshop will revive agai= n in 2011 on the 6th and 7th of January=2C in Lyon=2C France. In accordance with its traditional spirit=2C = the 2011 issue will cover a very broad range of =93speech-in-noise=94 topics including signal processing=2C cochle= ar processing=2C auditory scene analysis=2C phonetics=2C and linguistics. In the afternoon of the 6th of January=2C we will have a poster-session=2C = where all participants can present and discuss their work. In the evening=2C this session will be followed by a sp= ecial guest lecture by Stephan Launer (Phonak=2C Switserland) and an opening reception. =20 The 7th of January will be filled with oral presentations covering all majo= r scientific aspects of speech-in-noise.
