Informal enquiries can be made to me in the first instance Many thanks Bob Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit - Cambridge Research Assistant The MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit (CBSU) is an internationally reno= wned research institute. Applications are invited for a Research Assistant= to work on a grant from MRC Technology to Dr R.P. Carlyon and Dr. Olivier = Macherey. The post-holder will test some new cochlear-implant speech-proces= sing strategies, to see whether they improve speech and/or music perception= by cochlear implant listeners. This will be a full time position for a mi= nimum of 7 months initially, although a slightly longer appointment may be = made if funding is available . Part-time for a longer period may also be c= onsidered. You will have a degree in psychology, audiology or a related discipline. Go= od communication skills and the ability to work well with hearing-impaired = people are especially important. Experience with auditory equipment and/or= cochlear implants would also be an advantage. The starting salary will be in the range of =A320,074 - =A327,271 per annum= , depending upon qualifications and experience. We offer a flexible pay a= nd reward policy, 30 days annual leave entitlement, and an optional MRC fin= al salary Pension Scheme. On site car and bicycle parking is available.
