NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY Coordinator, The AuD Training Program The Roxelyn and Richard Pepper Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Northwestern University has been at the forefront of audiology research, development, and education since the inception of the field. The department currently houses research laboratories studying hearing and hearing loss, vibrant PhD and AuD programs, and a state-of-the-art hearing clinic that provides clinical education and services to the greater Chicago area. The AuD training program is nationally ranked amongst the top ten programs. Approximately 50 students are enrolled in the AuD program at any given time. We are seeking a dynamic leader to coordinate the various activities of the AuD training program. This twelve-month, non-tenure-track position is based on the Evanston campus. The initial appointment will be made at the level of Lecturer. Preferred starting date: January 1, 2011. Duties: (a) intellectual and executive direction of the AuD program;(b) teaching in the candidate’s area of expertise; (c) recruitment of students into the AuD program; (d) monitoring and assessing the progress of students in the AuD program; (d) service to the department, school, and university. Qualifications: PhD, AuD, or a master’s degree in Audiology. The candidate must have a record of teaching in the classroom and/or the clinic. Candidates with management and leadership experience will be preferred. Salary: Competitive, depending on qualifications and experience.
