(This is an additional position to the one posted last week.) ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE/FULL PROFESSOR, UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND, COLLEGE PARK. The Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences (CAA-accredited) invites applicants for a tenure track position in Speech, Language, or Hearing Sciences, beginning August 2011. Qualifications for the faculty position include an earned doctorate in speech-language pathology, audiology, speech, language or hearing sciences, or related neuroscience areas. All relevant areas of expertise will be considered. Applicants should demonstrate a publication record, teaching experience, and history of external funding commensurate with level of appointment. CCC is preferred. Responsibilities include establishing an independent research program, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, mentoring graduate students, and participating in departmental and university activities. Colleagues who would be interested in developing research ties with interdisciplinary initiatives on campus, such as the Neuroscience and Cognitive Science Program, the Center for Comparative and Evolutionary Biology of Hearing, the programs in language science, special education, and the new brain imaging center, are strongly encouraged to apply. Salary is negotiable, depending upon qualifications and experience.
