Dear List, Advanced Bionics is a company that develops cochlear implant technology. The partnership with Phonak brings access to core technologies and know-how in the fields of acoustics, micro system technique, audio signal processing and fitting, which creates exciting opportunities for future generations of cochlear implants The European Research Center of Advanced Bionics in Hanover, Germany, focusses particularly on sound processing for cochlear implants, especially the combination of electric and acoustic stimulation, the integration of frontend algorithms to improve speech understanding in noise and fitting procedures. The research center works in close cooperation with clinics, technical development centers and universities from different European countries.
