This position will be in the laboratory of Dr. Lina Reiss, Ph.D., in the Department of Otolaryngology at the Oregon Health and Sciences University, and is supported by an NIDCD/NIH research grant. Duties include, but are not limited to: identification and recruitment of candidate subjects for research program, organization and scheduling of subject visits, carrying out experiments and collecting data related to speech perception and psychophysical measures, data management, and ensuring compliance with Internal Review Board issues. Additional responsibilities include assisting in data analysis and with manuscript and grant preparation, collaboration with students, residents, and fellows in identification and enrollment of study participants, and participation in and presentation of data at research conferences. Qualifications: Master’s degree or Au.D. in Audiology; Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A); working knowledge of cochlear implant and hearing aid products and software; one or more years of experience in clinical research field; demonstrated interest in and ability to conduct cochlear implant and/or hearing aid research. Must also possess excellent clinical skills and be comfortable working with human subjects in a research environment, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be methodical and organized in collecting and documenting processes and data.
