Dear List, This is probably a naive question, but do any of you know the origin for using 12-talker babble as a background noise? Did it first get used in the Speech-in-Noise (SPIN) testing with Kalikow and colleagues or was it somewhere else? Thanks in advance for all your help! Cheers, Mike -- Dr. Michael S.
