These technologies are developed as a result of =20 challenges posed both by new musical ideas and new domains =20 investigated by scientific teams. At Ircam, this interactive process =20 is called =93musical research=94. Ircam is inviting artists to submit projects for the first musical =20 research residency program in 2010. The musical research residency =20 program is open to international artists, regardless of age or =20 nationality, who wish to carry out their musical research using =20 Ircam=92s facilities and extensive research environment. Candidates will = =20 be nominated through a selection procedure involving international =20 experts, based on research background and musical motivation, as well =20= as the quality of the proposed project through the online call for =20 proposals. Preference is given to new personalities to the Ircam =20 artistic scene. Upon nomination, each candidate will be granted a =20 residency at Ircam during a specific period (three or six months) and =20= in association with a team/project at Ircam. In addition, laureates =20 receive an equivalent of 1200 Euros per month to cover expenses in =20 France.
