We use state-of-the-art fMRI and EEG techniques to study how the brain understands speech in noisy environments (see http://mindbrain.ucdavis.edu/labs/Miller/). The RA’s primary responsibilities will be 1) conduct brain imaging and psychophysical experiments, and 2) develop and apply advanced analysis methods including functional connectivity, multivariate time-frequency analyses, and the integration of fMRI with EEG. In addition, the RA/Lab Manager will coordinate all aspects of essential lab business, including: * recruit, schedule, screen, and train subjects * assist in preparing journal articles, grants, and presentations * train students and postdocs * perform administrative support * maintain laboratory equipment and software Qualifications: * Computer experience, incl. some programming required – please do not submit an application if you have never written code * MATLAB expertise and familiarity with Linux preferred * Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field * Basic quantitative competence, incl. statistics * Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written * Outstanding organizational skills * Previous research experience preferred Position offers benefits and competitive salary starting at $33,672/yr or more, depending on experience.
