Dear Ian, You should definitely have a look at the websites of the 2007 Stereo Audio Source Separation Evaluation Campaign (http://www.irisa.fr/metiss/SASSEC07/) and the 2008 Signal Separation Evaluation Campaign (http://sisec.wiki.irisa.fr/), which provide before and after audio samples for about 40 algorithms.
