This workshop for young hearing scientists will present career pathways in industry, academia and the public sector and help to develop an understanding of the skills needed to pursue a career. It will provide an opportunity to meet high-ranking representatives from key industries in the field who will share their individual experiences. Experienced researchers and speakers will discuss funding options and networking with young colleagues from across Europe will be encouraged. The workshop will be held at MRC Institute of Hearing Research, Nottingham, UK (www.ihr.mrc.ac.uk) on 2nd and 3rd April 2009. The WORKSHOP is FREE to attend for registered participants, ACCOMMODATION is provided for FREE (2 nights, 1st and 2nd April) and MEALS plus a DINNER RECEPTION are also included. Attendees will only need to fund their own travel. PhD candidates are asked to contribute by giving a brief talk and by presenting a poster. Registration is open until spaces are filled.
