Opportunities may be available to work in collaboration with Bang & Olufsen in Denmark, and to spend periods of time working there. The project will be supervised by Dr Slawomir Zielinski and Professor Francis Rumsey. The Institute of Sound Recording has outstanding facilities for research in sound quality evaluation, including an ITU standard listening room. Further details of facilities and current projects in the group can be found at: http://www.surrey.ac.uk/soundrec/php/iosr.php Suitable candidates will have a good Bachelor's, or preferably a Master's degree in an appropriate subject, and will be able to demonstrate a keen interest in the perceptual aspects of audio engineering.
