Dear list, what I do is checking the voltage at the output of the headphone amp before each experimental session. I simply play back a defined signal, record the output of the headphone amp using the audio interface, and compare the voltage at the output to the voltage measured during calibration. This is certainly no substitute for frequent acoustic calibration, but at least you can be confident that the largest portion of the *electrical* setup has not changed, for example due to a problem with the cabling or because someone happend to touch a switch or knob...
