Dear Auditory list member We are considering purchase of an OAE instrument for research use. It is a quite demanding application as we want to measure DP input/output curves in both normal and hearing impaired subjects. The stimulus range will thus include both very high and very low stimuli. We therefore expect rest DP artifacts from the microphone to be a problem at the high stimulus levels and equally at the low levels system noise may be a limitation. Apart from this we would prefer a relative flexible system. Further we may consider measuring evoked potentials in the future. For the moment we consider the following instruments: - Intelligent Hearing Systems - Tucker Davies Technologies, system III - Otodynamics 288 or 292 (without capability of EP) We would appreciate any feedback on these instruments or suggestions of any other instrument that should have our interest. Best regards Peter Johannesen
