Subject: Confidence ratings in identification From: "Bruno L. Giordano" <bruno.giordano@xxxxxxxx> Date: Mon, 6 Aug 2007 23:19:04 -0400 List-Archive:<http://lists.mcgill.ca/scripts/wa.exe?LIST=AUDITORY>Hello, I would be very interested in references to previous works that: - investigated identification of multidimensional stimuli (number of response categories > 2) - collected ratings of the identification confidence - used these data to derive - pairwise and overall - sensitivity measures (e.g., d'), and bias measures. Also, is anybody aware of studies that investigated the cons (and pros) of pooling confidence rating data across multiple observers (i.e., across observers with different sensitivity and/or bias)? I am aware of the work by Hacker and Ratcliff (1979) but, as far as I understand, these authors assume unbiased observers. Thank you very much, Bruno ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bruno L.
