Below is an announcement for a three-year postdoctoral position in aging at Washington University in St. Louis. Several faculty in the Psychology department as well as at the medical school have interests in speech perception, hearing, and psychoacoustics. We would welcome applications from individuals who have worked in these areas and would like to extend their investigations to older adult populations. Postdoctoral Fellowship, Washington University in St. Louis, Psychology Department, available May 1, 2007. The fellowship, sponsored by the National Institute on Aging, is for 1 to 3 years and is designed to train psychologists for academic and research careers in the psychology of aging. Fellows carry out their own research under the supervision of a faculty preceptor. Current faculty interests related to aging include cognition, memory, attention, hearing and speech perception, visual perception, emotion, clinical psychology, personality disorders, neuropsychology, neuroimaging, and Alzheimer's disease. Prior training in aging is not required. Fellows must be citizens, noncitizen nationals, or permanent residents of the United States.
