Cochlear nucleus transient neurons (Ville Pulkki )

Hello, 

I am searching for information about the cells in cochlear nucleus which 
respond to onsets and offsets of sound, and are connected to MSO and LSO. 
I think I have read somewhere that their frequency response is broader 
than the response of phase-locking neurons, but cant recall where that 
was. Any pointers would be helpful.
