Apologies for cross-posting ---- Research Fellow in Neuroscience of Music Salary: £19340 to £21640 pa ­ Research Fellow Scale University of Plymouth School of Computing, Communications and Electronics Interdisciplinary Centre for Computer Music Research Applications are invited for a two-year (24 months) Research Fellow post in the Faculty of Technology at the University of Plymouth, UK, commencing on 01 July 2006, or soon thereafter. This post is part of a project aimed at the development of models and tools for the application of probabilistic machine learning techniques to the analysis of music and brain imaging data on music cognition, to be developed in collaboration with University College London, Leibniz Institute for Neurobiology (Germany) and Johannes Kepler University of Linz (Austria). Candidates for this post are expected to have experience with brain imaging data collection (EEG and/or fMRI), preparation and analysis. An interdisciplinary background linking cognitive science or neuroscience with music, and a PhD on an allied discipline, are highly desirable.
