Hello, I use a Marantz PMD670 which I am very happy with. The recordings are saved on a compact flash memory Card. With a 1Gb card, at 16Khz PCM 16bits, this means "only" about 9 hours of recording. But in MP3 with a bitrate encoding of 32kps, this is 70 hours of recording according to the manual. You can find 8Gb compact flash cards now... The PMD670 is a bit bulky but I have just discovered that a smaller model exists: the PMD660.
