This is in fact just an application package (based on tcl/tk). Try adding '.app' to the name of the folder and see if that helps (It should then appear as an "Application" rather that a directory. You may need to log out and back in to see this change.) i.e. 'WaveSurfer-1.8.3' becomes 'WaveSurfer-1.8.3.app' Depending on how your system is set up you may or may not see the '.app' extension. You can do this either via Get Info or via the command line. Hope that helps, Andrew
