Geewiz, Richard's question seems to open up the old Pandora's box (or can of worms?): do phonemes exist or not? Is there any colleague who would like to propose to conduct a poll? Pierre PS: I am reluctant to propose it myself in fear of it becoming like Evolution vs. Intelligent Design...
