On a similar note, I'm interested as to whether anyone does any training aimed at improved 'cognitive mapping' of the layout of places, and to what extent auditory distance perception (actually 'range') is similar (or not) in blind and sighted persons. I've a feeling that this may differ for early and late blind persons. If so, I'm wondering to what extent training in mapping can lessen the differences. regards ppl ----- Original Message ----- From: "Matt Marble" <hamletist(at)HOTMAIL.COM> To: <AUDITORY(at)LISTS.MCGILL.CA> Sent: 01 June 2005 22:59 Subject: thanks > wow, thanks everyone. this is what i was hoping to 'hear'. hope all is well > on the other side of the screen, > > matt > > ::::::::: :: : : : : : : : > > matthew marble > 332 NE 22nd Ave. #4 > Portland OR 97232 > > Portland State University > Department of Speech and Hearing Science > > > > > -- > Internal Virus Database is out-of-date. > Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. > Version: 7.0.308 / Virus Database: 266.11.11 - Release Date: 16/05/05 > > -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
