University of Southampton Institute of Sound and Vibration Research Audiology, Speech, Hearing and Balance Sciences Lecturer/Senior Lecturer The Institute of Sound and Vibration Research seeks an enthusiastic scientist to contribute to its teaching programmes in audiology and to develop research in hearing or balance science. ISVR is an internationally renowned research institute, the leading UK provider of postgraduate teaching in audiological sciences and has recently started a new BSc programme in Audiology. As an applicant, you should ideally be clinically qualified in audiology and be experienced in teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate level, although other candidates may be considered. You will have, or be in the process of achieving, a PhD in hearing or balance science or a related field and a minimum of three years relevant experience, with a proven ability to publish research. Leadership in research and ability to motivate students are paramount. You will be provided with support facilities and training to ensure successful delivery of objectives. Appointments will be made on one of the following scales: Lecturer: £28,850 to £36,546 or Senior Lecturer: £37,643 to £47,335 per annum, according to experience (Levels 5/6 on the Education, Research and Enterprise Job Family).
