I'd skip the middleman and look for a direct-to-digital recorder - I have a Marantz PMD-670 which runs about $700, but it's fairly portable and allows for 2-channel recording. You can store your files on it as you go and dump them to a hard drive later, or there's an option to have a CD burner on-board so that you can burn them in the field. I've only used this in my booth, and we dump to a PC after each recording session. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Sarah Hargus Ferguson, Ph.D., CCC-A Assistant Professor Department of Speech-Language-Hearing: Sciences and Disorders University of Kansas Dole Center 1000 Sunnyside Ave., Room 3001 Lawrence, KS 66045 office: (785)864-1116 Speech Acoustics and Perception Lab: (785)864-0610 http://www.lsi.ku.edu/ipcd/FAC/Bios/FergusonBio.html > -----Original Message----- > From: AUDITORY Research in Auditory Perception > [mailto:AUDITORY(at)LISTS.MCGILL.CA] On Behalf Of Leonardo Moore > Sent: Monday, March 07, 2005 2:57 PM > To: AUDITORY(at)LISTS.MCGILL.CA > Subject: DAT recorder > > Hello, > > I am new to the list.
