Absolutely the answer is often yes.  If you check the listserve archives for
such groups as the DB Users, Sasi, AAMD, etc. you'll find discussions of deaf ci
music lovers.  The AAMHL listserve was, in fact, specifically set up for deaf
musicians and a number of the people on that list are implanted.
