Dear Roisin, on page 104, appendix C, of my PhD Thesis on Temporal Coherence: http://alexandria.tue.nl/extra1/PRF2A/7707058.pdf I have copied a list from Dowling's Thesis (1967) of 20 barock compositions with "intended" streaming (or "fission" as I called back in 1975). Dowling called it "compound melodic line". The demonstrations that go with my thesis are available as interactive sound circuits on http://www.andyware.com/abox2/index.html in the section research. Regards, Leon van Noorden
