One other thought, a bit in Eliot Handelman's line of musical thinking: Whereas we speak of "misperceptions", I have never heard anyone referring to "miscognition". How come? Are we infallible when it comes to cognition (memory, attention, learning, etc.)? Pierre Divenyi
