The ILO is based within the Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital, which offers many advantages for teaching and research by providing an excellent infrastructure and patient base. A new building for the UCL Centre for Auditory Research is currently being constructed at the site. The School of Audiology offers a new BSc course in Audiology, two MSc courses for Scientists and one for ENT Surgeons in addition to research leading to PhDs. The School of Audiology now wishes to appoint two lecturers in Audiology to undertake teaching and management of some Audiology course modules on the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. In addition the candidates will be expected to attract grant funding and contribute significantly to the research profile of the School. A record of research, publications and experience of teaching would be an advantage. Post A will be concerned with clinical Audiology with particular emphasis on vestibular science. Post B will be concerned with psychophysics and physiology of hearing particularly with a research bias in this area. Applications are invited from audiologists, psychologists, physiologists, physicists or researchers in hearing. Salary will be on the Lecturer B scale points 14-16 (£28,498 to £30,660 plus London Allowance of £2,134) depending on qualifications and experience.
