One of the most complete descriptions (based on auditory nerve recording) can be found in: van der Heijden, M and Joris, PX. Cochlear phase and amplitude retrieved from the auditory nerve at arbitrary frequencies. J Neurosci. 2003 Oct 8;23(27):9194-8. Erratum in: J Neurosci. 2003 Oct 29;23(30): One note of caution, the group delays at the best frequency appear to be species dependent. -------------------------------------------------------------------- David C.
