Subject: Extreme Perception From: "Deirdre.Bolger" <Deirdre.Bolger(at)UL.IE> Date: Fri, 25 Jul 2003 11:32:08 +0100Hi Mikael, Would this experience have something to do with attention relating to temporal processing?.If one presumes that in normal situations one's perception of events involves integration over a certain duration, could this experience involve, through increased attention, a certain change in this integration constant. The problem with this idea, of course, is the implication for timbre processing. No doubt, there a significant chemical influence as the level of adrenalin increases in these extreme situations which would have an influence of the processing of events. Regards, Deirdre
