I have heard rumors about some old speech demonstration tapes, perhaps created in Sweden in the 70's, in which a single reduced vowel is used for all vowels and /d/ is used for all plosives; the speech remains intelligible. I can re-create demos like that, but I was wondering whether anyone could give me references or information about the original work. Paul Iverson Dept.
