HI Andrew, When you listen to single channel BSS demos, you might want to also listen to sound demos from a recent (single channel) CASA system we proposed. See: http://www.cis.ohio-state.edu/~hu/Publication/MSSDemo.htm You also might find the following comparison paper relevant: van der Kouwe A.J.W., Wang D.L., and Brown G.J. (2001): "A comparison of auditory and blind separation techniques for speech segregation," IEEE Transactions on Speech and Audio Processing, vol. 9, 189-195. (Available in PDF at http://www.cis.ohio-state.edu/~dwang) Thanks, Guoning -----Original Message----- From: AUDITORY Research in Auditory Perception [mailto:AUDITORY(at)LISTS.MCGILL.CA]On Behalf Of Andrew Nesbit Sent: Monday, April 28, 2003 12:28 PM To: AUDITORY(at)LISTS.MCGILL.CA Subject: Single channel BSS in CASA? Dear List, Has anybody here considered incorporating any of the ideas from single channel BSS into a CASA system? Here is a link to research being done on single channel BSS: http://bulsai.kaist.ac.kr/~jangbal/research/demos/ch1bss/ Thanks in advance for any comments. Andrew.
