Congratulations to Brian on winning the 2003 Silver Medal in Psychological and Physiological Acoustics from the Acoustical Society of America. Very recently he was elected into a Fellowship of the Royal Society (the UK's national academy of sciences), so we can only hope that the rest of the year is not too much of a bummer for him.(*) bob carlyon (*) Also, that he finds a better photograph to accompany his encomium than Neal Viemeister did for his (see JASA 111, no 5, pt 2 [2002]).
