I have used voice as test test material, and can use standard = intelligibilty tests such as %ALCONS as an objective measure for speech = "definition", and wondered if there has been any work on objective = measurement of *musical* inteligibility, eg reaction times for ID of a = piece, or transcription of the material. Any info would be much = appreciated. Thanks, John ------=_NextPart_000_0058_01C1E3C3.18DE3C30 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META content=3D"text/html; charset=3Diso-8859-1" = http-equiv=3DContent-Type> <META content=3D"MSHTML 5.00.2920.0" name=3DGENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>Hello List,</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>I am undertaking some research = concerning image=20 localisation and definition/ discrimination/ identification of = instruments in=20 recorded material within a multi-channel (loudspaker) = environment.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>I have used voice as test test = material, and can=20 use standard intelligibilty tests such as %ALCONS as an objective = measure for=20 speech "definition",&nbsp;and wondered if there has been any work on = objective=20 measurement of *musical* inteligibility, eg reaction times for ID of a = piece, or=20 transcription of the material.
