The project is funded by the Irish HEA and will start in January 2002. The posts are in the first instance for 12 months. The overall aim of the project is to prototype new technology and performance modes for the control of interaction in musical instrument performance. Candidates should hold a BSc/BE/BEng/BSEE or MSc/MEng and have experience of digital musical technologies. The student will be registered for PhD or an MSc.at the University of Limerick. The main deliverable of the project will be a prototype system demonstrating collaboration between instruments. The successful candidates will take up the post as soon as possible and will be based in Limerick and Dublin.
