Two studentships are available in the Speech and Hearing group in Computer Science at the University of Sheffield, UK, for take-up from January 2002. Topics are * Maximum Entropy Modelling for the Summarization of Spoken Language * Multisource decoding for speech in the presence of other sound sources The studentships are associated with UK EPSRC-funded projects, and thus carry sufficient funding to cover living allowances and tuition fees for UK or EU applicants.
