Hello, I have produced a tool for producing melody lines. It uses a simple vector graphic application (XFig) to draw pitch and volume curves. It generates the audio by interfacing the vector graphic program to a Frequency Modulator (it is actually a wave form modulator). The source code is available and should be easily alterable. Altering the source code will allow the application to produce ideal test tones, such as ideal sine waves or white noise - this would change the system from a wave form modulator to a frequency modulator. It is under GPL and available from : http://mffmvectorbass.sourceforge.net/ reguards -- Matt Common computer data descriptions.... bit lick nibble byte
