On of the heads is covered with a latex-kind of plastic, and the ear(s) is (are) not present (in the picture). Using the same product, we cast the ears of a 'volunteer' in the lab. These ears are on the other picture. There's of course a microphone in the bottom of each ear. It gives us interesting HRTFs, which are good enough for developing algorithms in sound localization and the like.
