A similar question was recently posted on the seeingwithsound mailing list in the context of observing cross-modal (auditory to visual) brain plasticity with trained and untrained subjects. You might have a look at the commercial site http://www.biodex.com/radio/mrimusic.htm which advertises a stereo music system for use in MRI systems with "Patented magnetically inert pneumatic, lightweight, stethoscope-style" patient headsets. I do not know what good this system is and would be interested in anyone's experiences with it or suggestions for any better alternatives.
