Dear list,

        I have received a query from a former music student who is
now teaching music acoustics in a conservatory.  He wants to find a
software programme (preferably PC) which can generate different
scales such as just, mean-tone, tempered, etc.  for his students to
hear.  Any suggestions?  Price and ease of use are both relevant
considerations.
