Dear Antony, I must disagree with you on an important point: IMO no matter how outlandish any contribution to the list may appear to some, the fact that it stirs up a discussion as lively and profound as Andrew's theses did do a great service to science, rather than the disservice as you state. Furthermore, I must remind you that, although we are an "auditory family", personal expressions of family discord must be avoided, for sake of maintaining the cordial civility that has characterized our discussion group from the beginning on.
