All of the replies that I bounced back to you had interesting things to say (even the joke at the end, when you read between the lines) and I wanted the list to benefit from them. Of course Ed Burns' quip about French auditory scientists is not to be taken seriously and I apologise to him for having carelessly included it in my little package. Personally, I would be the first to proclaim that auditory science in France is alive, well, and in fact particularly strong at the moment. The main point surely is that TOMATIS is not to be taken seriously. Tomatis has almost nothing to do with mainstream French auditory science -- or mainstream auditory science in any country for that matter, as far as I can see. Correct me if I'm wrong!
