Postdoctoral Position available immediately at the Georgetown Institute for Cognitive and Computational Sciences to study auditory processing and/or visual-auditory interactions in the cerebral cortex of nonhuman primates. Preference will be given to candidates with training in single-unit electrophysiology of awake behaving monkeys. However, auditory physiologists with a background in more specialized species desiring to shift to primates are also encouraged to apply. The institute is located in a brand-new research building on the handsome campus of Georgetown University. State-of-the-art animal facilities are available for research on nonhuman primates. An optical recording set-up as well as several sound chambers are part of the laboratory. Various collaborative ties exist with the nearby National Institutes of Health.
