QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in Music Theory; outstanding research potential; evidence of scholarly activity and effective teaching at the college level; research interest in music perception/cognition desirable. RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses; advise undergraduate and graduate students and serve on graduate committees. Responsibilities may include coordination of core undergraduate theory and aural training courses. Other assignments to be determined by the needs of the School and the qualifications of the successful candidate. Maintain creative/scholarly and service contributions appropriate for a faculty member at a major research university.
