Hello, I am writing an undergraduate research paper on auditory dissonance, using Kameoka and Kuriyagawa's 1969 papers on Consonance Theory: Part I and II as a starting point. I have been trying to replicate their calculated results using the formulae they provide, but have had only limited success. In particular, I can duplicate the results of their calculations for tones comprised of harmonics with constant amplitudes, but when I varied the sound pressure levels of the partials, there were large descrepicies between my results and K&K's. If anyone else has attempted to repeat Kameoka and Kuriyagawa's calculations in their 1969 papers, I would greatly appreciate information from them. Also, I would appreciate a response from anyone who has further insight or interest in the subject of auditory dissonance, and who can point me to further information. Below my signature is a list of the papers I am currently reading under the direction of my professor, Dr. David Huron, at the University of Waterloo. Thank you for your time. \|/-Keith Mashinter e-mail: kmashint(at)descartes.uwaterloo.ca A. Kameoka and M.
