This is a little off the subject, but I don't know where else to turn. The question is : Has anyone ever taken their own computer to France to use for research work? I am going to be working at IRCAM for 10 months, and they want me to bring my own NeXT, i.e., two 40 pound large packages. I was planning on shipping them there. It looks like I might have to pay 23% tariff unless I can find the right papers. If you have had experience with US->France computer transport, I would appreciate finding out how you handled it.
