Seeking "neutral" sound (Judith Brown )

A friend of mine is doing a physiological experiment using low
frequency drums and is looking for a control sound that will produce
no physiological reactions.  Apparently good candidates like white
noise and bird songs do provoke some people.  Any ideas for "neutral"
sounds?
