Hi, I read some books to learn about the perception of sound. What I found confusing are the statements about the perception of pitch. Some books say that for pure tones, frequency == pitch. Others say pitch is a function of many parameters, which is not known generally. Sometimes they say pitch is proportional to the logarithm of frequency. What is true? What is not? Thanks in advance, Ralf. -- Ralf Timmer Department of Computer Science Email: timmer(at)fwi.uva.nl University of Amsterdam --
